Abstract

In this paper based upon the review of the related literature; the utilized terminology regarding the available types of absorption refrigeration systems; ARS, is outlined. The specified parameters used through experimental and theoretical studies are presented. In conformity with the related literature a single stage ideal ARS cycle with a solution side heat exchanger is referred. The major outcomes of the presented study are

1.  classified list of the thermodynamic analysis parameters defined as comparative magnitudes of each in ARS and vapor compression refrigeration systems, VCRS
2.  the presentation of a case study with its sample outputs utilizing water- LiBr solution as the binary system.
